Targeting of Human Immunodeficiency Virus-Infected Cells by CDS+ T Lymphocytes Armed With Universal T-cell Receptors

چکیده
We have developed an immunotherapeutic approach with potential application in the treatment of viral and malignant disease. We show that primary CD8' T cells isolated from peripheral blood can be genetically modified by retroviral transduction to express high levels of universal (major histocompatibility complex-unrestricted) chimeric T-cell receptors specific for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) antigens. Two classes of HIV-specific URs in which the antigen-binding domain is comprised of either CD4 or a singlechain antibody are capable of activating a number of T-cell

متن کاملP 130: The Role of Host T- Cell Lymphocyte in Immunopathogenesis of HTLV-I-Associated Myelopathy/Tropical Spastic Paraparesis
Human T-cell lymphotropic virus type 1 (HTLV-1) is associated with adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATL) and HTLV-1-associated myelopathy/tropical spastic paraparesis (HAM/TSP). Only a limited percentage of infected individuals develop disease in response to the virus while the majority remain asymptomatic and HAM/TSP is the most common clinical manifestation of the virus. HAM/TSP is an inflamma...
متن کاملReference Values of Lymphocyte Sub-Populations in Healthy Human Immunodeficiency Virus-Negative Iranian Adults
Background: Lymphocyte subsets enumeration is considered prominent in the management of primary and acquired immunodeficiency disorders. Because of local variations due to race, age, gender, and environmental conditions on lymphocyte subsets, and to improve the accuracy of interpretation of laboratory findings, reference intervals must be determined in every population. Objective: To establish ...
متن کاملEvaluation of clinical course and laboratory findings in HIV/HTLV-1 co-infection compare with HIV mono infection
Background: In the last 10 years, co-infection of human immunodeficiency virus/human T-cell leukemia virus-1 (HIV/HTLV-1) has emerged as a worldwide health problem. These viruses has the same route to infect human but different effects on CD4 positive T-cells. There was controversial results about the influence of co-infection HIV/HTLV-1 pathogenesis. This study compared clinical course and lab...
